2016 Alki Beach Classic Meet Recap

As many, many of you have already heard, all five of Progressive Performance’s lifters had a great showing at the 2016 Alki Beach Classic. We had a great day, made some new friends, and brought home 5 medals!

Jamie Lindstrom placed 2nd in her division, totally rockin’ it at her very first meet. She walked away with personal records (PRs) in all three lifts – 253lb squat, 121lb bench press, and a whopping 308lb deadlift!

Analeah (Leah) Williams headed to the meet with the goal of deadlifting over 400lbs, which she did, placing her first in her division. Her best lifts were 292lb on squat, 160lb on bench, and 402lb on deadlift. Leah had the heaviest deadlift of all the female lifters by 60lbs!

This was Tommy Massey’s first powerlifting meet and he placed first for bench and deadlift in his division. Tommy’s best lifts were 314lb on bench press and a 523lb deadlift.

Alex Wiederhold placed first in his division with a 320lb squat, 170lb bench press, and a massive 402lb deadlift (more than 2.5x his bodyweight)!

Mark Eisen had the toughest competition at the meet competing in the largest division of male lifters. This was Mark’s first powerlifting meet and he placed 5th in his division with a 380lb squat, 298lb bench press, and 402lb deadlift.

These dedicated and powerful lifters have already set their sights on the Team Phoinix Holiday Classic this December in Tacoma, where they will be joined by a couple more first time lifters from Progressive Performance.
